Diwali Sweets form a vital part of the Diwali revelry in India. During Diwali people greet their relatives and friends with an assortment of sweets that are specially prepared for the occasion. People also entertain their guests with Diwali sweets at the time of Diwali celebration. If you are unable to make it to your hometown this Diwali; send diwali sweets to India.
Diwali is a festival that brings forth grace, happiness, and charm and creates the magical spell that fills up the mind of every individual to the brim. Diwali constitutes diyas, crackers, celebration and off course good food. Diwali celebration is rather incomplete without mouth watering delicacies and the principal part of it includes sweets of different types. Diwali is very much a time for buying and exchanging gifts. Traditionally sweets and Dry Fruit were very common gifts to exchange, but the festival has become a time for serious shopping, leading to anxiety that commercialism is eroding the spiritual side of the festival. In most years shopkeepers expect sales to rise substantially in the weeks before the festival.
There was a time when mothers used to spend hours in the kitchen to prepare sweets and dishes for Diwali. As children played with firecrackers, women folk would bring mouth-watering laddus and gulab jamuns for refreshment. But times they are changing and the era of home made sweets has all but disappeared. Instead, people celebrate Diwali with expensive gift hampers of mithais, dry fruits, jams, sherbets, cookies, exotic chocolates and Turkish coffee. Most women go to work these days and rarely get time to prepare sweets at home. Also, sweet shops offer a wider variety of stuff. It is very convenient to send diwali sweets to India for your loved ones.
