Kaali Chaudash or Narka chathurdashi is on 12th November this year. It is called Narka chaturdashi, as on this day Shri Krishna defeated Narkaasur. This is the day before Diwali as the next day you will find all houses and the entire city decorated with Lights and diyas.
Diwali and Laxmi Pujan
The most awaited day, Diwali, is on 13th November this year. It is the day when Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya. It signifies good over evil. It’s the last day in the Hindu calendar. People light diyas, candles and have extra lights in their house. They believe that Goddess Laxmi will come to their homes to bless with prosperity and happiness so no room is left in darkenss.
